Yes… We are doing it.
We are dropping 20,00 Eggs from a helicopter the day before resurrection Sunday.
I know… it’s been done. But it’s still very cool to watch. We love our church and we love Senoia… that’s why we’re doing it. We want to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus in a way that really connects with our community.
In recent demographic info that I received, I found that there were 20,000 folks that did not attend a church of any kind within a five mile radius of downtown Senoia. 20,000!
I don’t know why they don’t attend… maybe it’s because they were hurt at an old church, maybe it’s because they think nobody is doing church right, maybe it’s because they’ve been and just thought it was a waste of time, or maybe… they just haven’t been invited. Well we want this egg drop to serve as a community invitation to WellSpring Church.
At WellSpring, we want to make disciples that make disciples. Part of that disciple making process is inviting a friend to journey with you. Who are you inviting this Sunday? Who are you inviting to the egg drop? Who are you inviting Easter Sunday? There are 20,000 in a five mile radius of our church that we are hoping to reach and some of them have never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray, that as we do this event and invite folks to come to our church, that the ultimate goal would be that the lost and hurting would be found and filled with peace.

Sounds like an interesting approach. Pardon my ignorance about this technique but does it hurt if an egg falls on you? I could see that as a potential turn off but I could be wrong. Praying for your ministry!
